Branch out with Solar Trees

A renewable energy company based in San Diego has installed some impressive so called ‘solar trees’ at a General Motors’ Tech Facility in Michigan. This innovative new idea takes advantage of otherwise useless space such as car parks and roof tops and instead uses the idle space to generate energy.

The solar trees use technology similar to that of the solar panels supplied here at Solarking, with photovoltaic technology converting sunlight into electricity. Each solar tree can generate enough energy to charge up to six electric cars as well as supplying the General Motors facility with power for use within the property.

And an added bonus of these innovative charging stations is that they provide shade for non-electric vehicles, so those that use the car park don’t have to go through the pain of a sauna style car interior!

So if you think like General Motors you have unused space which you want to take advantage of then get in touch with Solarking today and you’ll be amazed at the potential your property has.
